In 2024, 937 active IDM companies were identified across Canada. The vast majority are located in Ontario, B.C., and Quebec, with 88% focused on video games. More than half of companies employ fewer than five people, and leadership remains predominantly white (80%), male (88%), and aged 31–45 (57%).
