CIAIC launches Canadian Interactive Industry Profile

The Canadian Interactive Alliance / L’Alliance interactive canadienne (CIAIC) is calling on all interactive digital media companies to once again participate in the Canadian Interactive Industry Profile (CIIP) survey, to help build a complete and accurate account of the national industry.

The web-based survey will gather economic, human resources and trade information from companies across Canada that create products and services related to interactive media, such as video games, social media and mobile apps.

The resulting data will be used to build a PROFILE, helping the CIAIC strengthen the Canadian interactive digital media industry by ensuring that all industry and government players have timely and comprehensive information about its size and scope.

The data will be provided to the industry at no cost.

The 2012 PROFILE will be the third edition produced by the CIAIC since 2006. The report will be authored by Nordicity Group and created with the participation and support of the Cultural Human Resources Council (CHRC), Canada Media Fund (CMF), Department of Canadian Heritage, the Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC), New Media Manitoba and RBC Royal Bank.

CIAIC, a non-profit trade association founded in 2005, relies on partnerships to build on long standing tradition and to position Canada as the best place in the world to make video games, in line with two main objectives: - To facilitate great networking with international VIPs including publishers, investors and studio heads; and - To give Canadian game developers a chance to celebrate their great accomplishments.
