Rule changes to Gemini Awards Digital Media

Based on industry feedback, the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television (ACCT) has made some changes to its Digital categories, including a reduction in some entry fees for the 27th annual Gemini Awards.

These fees will be changed from $350 (Member), $500 (Non-Member) to the following:

a) Original Content Categories = $100 (Member), $300 (Non-Member)

b) Cross Platform Project Categories = $300 (Member), $500 (Non-Member)

In terms of eligibility, the criteria will remain unchanged, with the exception of the following amendments:

Categories that launch on TV and the web at the same time are now eligible. Initially, the original Program produced for digital media must first or simultaneously be made available to the public on a digital medium other than television.
